STRATIX recognizes that each organization and its employees/ members /stakeholders is unique — we begin by working to identify and understand the specific needs and expectations of the client.
We consult with leaders of the organization to develop the process and guidelines for convening the strategic planning process. Elements include:
Who will be involved, including leaders, staff, volunteers?
What specific aspects of the organization will the strategic planning deal with?
How will the costs of facilitation be handled?
Who will provide logistical and administrative support for the process?
What will be the schedule for initiating the strategic planning process?
We usually meet with the formal leadership (such as the board or senior management) of the organization to confirm support and clarify the scope of the process.
We recommend establishment of an ad hoc group to work with us to guide the strategic planning process and maintain communication with the organization and its stakeholders.
We facilitate the strategic planning process:
We assist the organization to identify (or validate) its purpose and core values, and its current status and environment (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats).
We guide the organization in identifying key strategic initiatives and developing effective action plans to achieve its goals.
Work sessions are scheduled to make the most effective use of organizational resources — generally two or three full-day sessions (or a series of sessions).
